Mastering Difficult Conversations: How to Communicate with Compassion and Clarity
Difficult conversations often bring a sense of discomfort, whether it’s addressing an unmet need, giving constructive feedback, or resolving a lingering conflict. It’s natural to want to avoid these moments, fearing the potential for awkwardness, anger, or rejection. However, avoiding these conversations often allows misunderstandings to deepen, resentment to grow, and relationships to weaken. On the other hand, leaning into these moments with courage and empathy can create profound opportunities for growth and connection.

Assumptions: Useful or Harmful?
Assumptions can be both helpful and harmful. Assumptions are not innately good or bad. So, it is important that we understand why and how we are using them.

Coding and Decoding: Roadblocks or Bridges to Effective Communication
This week's blog is on Coding and decoding, which describes the processes by which we ascribe meaning to words, phrases, etc., and use them to either communicate something or understand what someone else is saying. We code our communication based on our experiences and our understanding of those experiences. In the same way, when others communicate with us, we decode the words and phrases they use based on our experiences and our understanding of those experiences.
